Yes it is always fun to play specially when it is low tide at the beach in the afternoon. Seagrass beds can be explored and children albe to play with sea stars. But they return them afterwards they say :)

That is fun for the children.
Wow! These sea stars are quite amazing! Are they edible?

Hi Senor Enrique,
No they are not edible. hehehehe unlike sea urchins.
The girls said they are just play with them and they will return it to the sea grass beds afterwards :)
Ah, ok. At least these sea stars are strong enough to withstand a child's play.
Protoreaster Nodosus. Quite abundant in the Visayas :)
Hi Jeryc,
thanks for the scientific name. Marami nga nito sa Visayas. I photographed some of these with kids as well at Danjugan island.
